Our Story
Collab Teaching is owned by three highly qualified teachers! We are all certified educators in the state of Florida. Between the three of us, we have certifications in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) K-12, Elementary Education, and endorsements in Reading as well as English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). We have worked with students ranging from 4 years old-high school and we understand not all strategies work with every student.
We previously worked together as Compliance Resource Teachers for our Florida district and have had extensive training and experience in Individual Education Plans (IEPs), IDEA 504, Compliance, Differentiated Teaching, Small Groups, Response to Intervention (RTI), Accommodations and Modifications and the Florida State Standards.
Collab Teaching has earned many different awards while in our teaching career, such as Teacher of the Year, Highly Effective evaluations, and the High Impact Teacher award by the state of Florida.
We have worked with students with varying exceptionalities which have included, but not limited to; Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities, Other Health Impaired, Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities, Deaf or Hard of Hearing Impairments, Developmentally Delayed, Gifted, Intellectually Disabled, Language Impairments, and students with Speech Impairments.
Collab Teaching can work on literacy skills, writing skills, language arts, sight words, vocabulary, foundational skills, phonics, fluency, reading comprehension, listening comprehension, math concepts, social skills, and life skills.
We've seen such a great need for quality tutoring services, so we decided to create our company together. We truly have a passion for teaching, closing gaps, enriching students, and keeping their confidence up all while learning. We can't wait to work with you!
Meet The Team
Corey Chatman
Owner and Teacher
I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida! I graduated from University of South Florida. I currently live in the Land O Lakes area with my husband, and my super energetic 4-year-old. I have been a teacher for 9 years and educating our youth is my passion. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my family, teaching my daughter new things, and going to places that entertain her. I currently plan to take on tutoring full-time and cannot wait to meet your family!
Brittnye Reiner
Owner and Teacher
I was born and raised in New Jersey, but moved to Florida 10 years ago. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new places with my children and being outdoors. I graduated from Southeastern University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education K-12. I have taught in elementary and middle school settings the past 10 years. As an educator, watching children become confident as learners is one of my favorite things I get to experience. I look forward to providing your family with support to help your child gain the academic confidence they deserve.
Allison Brewer
Owner and Teacher
I am originally from Indiana, but have lived in Florida for the past 15 years. I currently live in Wesley Chapel with my husband and two children. I graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I've been a teacher for 17 years, working with students in small groups and individually in grades K-12. My favorite things to do are read, hang out with my family, make crafts, go to the beach, and travel. I love seeing students make progress and become more confident learners. I am looking forward to working with your family!
